Ecosolvent printing machines use inks with a far lower volatile organic compound content than classic solvent systems. Because they run almost odourlessly, they are safely preferred for indoor applications such as in-store graphics, wall coverings, exhibition stands and display panels. Even so, combined with lamination they also deliver long-lasting outdoor results.
The Wit-Color models in this category span a wide scale from 1.6 to 5.2 metres, allowing large-format jobs to be produced in a single pass. You can find the technical differences between solvent and ecosolvent in detail in our comparison article.
Frequently Asked Questions About Ecosolvent Printing Machines
Can ecosolvent printing be used indoors?
Yes. Thanks to its low VOC content and almost odourless nature it is safely used in enclosed spaces such as shops, offices, hospitals and schools. Unlike classic solvent, powerful ventilation is not mandatory.
How long does ecosolvent printing last outdoors?
With lamination applied it withstands outdoor conditions for several years. For work in constant direct sunlight where a very long life is expected, classic solvent is still more resistant.
Which print width should I choose?
The largest job size you produce regularly is the deciding factor. While 1.6 m is enough for general purpose production, models of 3.2 m and above save seams and labour when facade and large banner work dominates.
